Helping Good Samaritans Help Community Cats

We may be Save A Bow Wow, but we receive requests about cats and kittens every day! While Save A Bow Wow Rescue is a dog rescue and does not operate a cat rescue division, we recognize the tremendous need for community support in addressing cat overpopulation and the importance of TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return).

Through our referral resources, we share information provided by others and community resources to help Good Samaritans find appropriate assistance for cats and kittens in need.

Now, we are taking that support one step further.

Our Trap Loan Program

Rosalie’s Save A Meow Meow: Trap & Fix Community Program allows Good Samaritans to borrow a humane cat trap from Save A Bow Wow for up to 7 days when attempting to safely trap a community or feral cat for the purpose of spaying or neutering.

Save A Bow Wow Rescue is a nonprofit organization that relies entirely on donations to continue operating and helping animals in our community.

There is no set rental fee for our traps. Instead, we ask for a donation with each trap loan. Your donation helps us maintain and replace equipment, keep our rescue operational, and continue providing community resources like this program. Every donation matters, and your contribution directly helps make this program possible.

Program Details

🐾 Loan Period: Up to 7 days
🐾 Donation: A donation is requested for each trap loan; there is no fixed amount, however a refundable trap deposit may also be required to ensure equipment is returned.
🐾 Purpose: Humane trapping for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and spay/neuter efforts
🐾 Pickup & Return: La Habra or Whittier, California
🐾 Availability: Trap must be reserved in advance and is subject to availability

A Program Born From Compassion

One of our incredible volunteers had this idea on her heart—a way to help Good Samaritans who want to make a difference for community cats but may not have access to the equipment they need. She dreamed up the idea, and we are now bringing it to life! Rosalie’s Save A Meow Meow: Trap & Fix Community Program is a reflection of what can happen when compassionate people come together with a shared desire to help animals. We are so grateful to the volunteers who continually bring new ideas, heart, and solutions to Save A Bow Wow. This program started as one volunteer’s idea, and together, we are turning that idea into reality—one trap, one cat, and one act of kindness at a time.
